SUMMARY OF COORDINATED SOLUTIONS | CEN

In Quantica projects related to regulatory compliance associated with the requirements of the National Electrical Coordinator Coordinates (CEN), we have had the privilege of helping literally hundreds of installations of various types of coordinates.

Years ago, when the SING existed, we had the privilege of working with the SING control center, on the maintenance, expansion and support of the SCADA-EMS they had, with which the entire Interconnected System of the Great North was monitored and dispatched, where our job for them was the constant expansion and maintenance of the platform 24x7.

As a summary, the following are the solutions that have been requested from us throughout our years of experience, for the development of various projects related to Regulatory Compliance for Clients of enormous relevance at the National Level and in the region.

SITR: Pre - Integration

Before building and/or accepting supplies from different suppliers, it is necessary to ensure that they meet the requirements established in the NTSycs in its most recent version. We offer our customers the possibility of reviewing the specifications of the supplies before they enter the purchase phase, in order to improve their negotiating position and ensure that they will be able to comply with regulations.

SITR: Integration

In our experience, what usually happens is that the different coordinate technologies (Generation, Transmission and Large Consumption) have deficiencies in relation to communication protocols and the redundancies required in the regulations. To solve the above, we have had to supply new SCADA Systems, new Communication Fronts, we have upgraded existing Systems and there have also been occasions when good maintenance and adjustments are enough to comply with the regulations.

SITR: Post - Integration

There are regulatory requirements such as: PMU, SLRP, Availability and Data Age, among others, which we have resolved for our clients and for the National Electrical Coordinator himself. Each of these solutions has been built thinking about what exists on the ground and therefore minimizing the supplies to be incorporated into the installation. Each of these projects has been executed in person and remotely for more than a decade.

PMU: Phasor Measurement Unit

A phasor measurement unit allows us to observe an electrical installation with unparalleled precision, which is why, at some points in the interconnected system, the installation of this type of equipment is necessary. Quantica has already successfully delivered this type of solution to different actors at the national level, for which it has had to select, supply, integrate into cabinets, carry out the installation in the field and finally connect against the national electrical coordinator.

SLRP: Remote Protection Reading System

As part of regulatory compliance, it is required that the information on the protections of the coordinates' facilities automatically report their information to the servers of the national electrical coordinator. Quantica has already successfully carried out this work for electrical and mining coordinators, complying with all the requirements required by the regulations.

PRS: Service Recovery Plan

As part of regulatory compliance, facilities are required to carry out a comprehensive review of their facilities and determine their degree of compliance with the requirements contained in the Service Recovery Plan. Quantica has been successfully carrying out this work of supporting our clients for quite some time, and in our constant search for new solutions, we were able to execute 2021, the first avalanche test carried out in Chile and the corresponding review of the results of the SCADA involved.

Double Link:

As part of regulatory compliance, installations are required to have a TASE2 double link to the national electrical coordinator, in order to allow double redundancy of communications. Quantica has already executed this task very successfully for quite a few coordinates, meeting the highest standards of requirements and in all cases culminating in successful tests from the coordinators to the national electrical coordinator.
